Junior Golf Club

Junior Golf Success, Inc. was formed in 2002 and began offering golf instruction classes in elementary schools. We were the first company to begin this program in the state of Florida and, most likely, the nation. JGS was awarded a Growth of the Game grant from the Professional Golfers Association of America to help expand the program and introduce more kids to the game of golf.

Operating in Florida under the name of Orlando Junior Golf Club, we have expanded to teaching over 57 classes weekly in four different school districts in Florida in 2009.  Additionally, we provide after-school programs in three school districts on Arizona.

We had over 750 junior golfers attend an after school class last semester. In an effort to reach all children, we began in 2003, offering golf instructions to under privileged children at 21st Century schools. That initiative has grown and is now operating at eleven different schools. Because of our work with minority youths, we were able to work with the United States Golf Association in 2006 to obtain funding that provided equipment, instruction, transportation, and course access so these children could continue to play golf. JGS continues to seek to expand golf learning opportunities for all kids and in 2007 began a golf program for deaf children, providing instruction and interpreter services during classes and for field trips to the golf course.

The successes of JGS programs are built on the following principals:

Offer Top Quality Instruction- All of our classes are fast-paced and engage each student individually. This allows them to have fun and develop their golf skills at the same time. Our Golf Swing Builder Instruction Program has been tested and refined over the years and produces results quickly and provides the foundation for long-term development. When kids are improving and having success they keep playing.

Parent Communication- We communicate with parents on a regular basis through e-mails, providing information on what is being covered in class and additional practice drills that they can work on with their children during the week. Our parents know they have an open door invitation to e-mail or call our staff and ask any questions about their child's junior golf.

In addition to after school golf classes JGS operates the following golf programs for kids:

Weekend Golf Leagues:  JGS runs spring, summer, and fall leagues, playing 7-10 events each season.  There are two levels of leagues: the Beginners League is a combination of instruction and play where enrollees receive instruction before they play; the Intermediate League plays a different course in the area each week and is designed to get juniors on the course in a low stress, competitive environment. We play four different sets of tees, so players ages 5 to 15 can participate.

Camps: We offer 10 weeks of summer camp, a winter break camp, and a spring break camp in some areas.

Club Fittings/Demo Days: We provide free club fittings on a regular basis.  We also have scheduled demo days where juniors can hit different length and weight clubs to determine the best fit. We also have a loaner program for players just getting started so their parents can see if the player is going to continue their interest in golf before purchasing clubs.

Parent/Child Events: Quarterly we run Parent/Child scramble tournaments.  This has been a great way to get parents on the course, playing with their children.

If you have any questions about the programs offered in your area, please don't hesitate to contact us.
